Evolving Our Heart&Soul Program

At Spotify, we believe that caring for our bandmates’ mental health is fundamental to building a culture where people can do their best work and feel like they belong. That’s why we take a holistic approach to mental health, one that supports not just emotional wellness, but a sense of belonging, balance, and connection.

This year, Heart&Soul deepened that commitment by evolving our approach to meet our needs today and launching a personalized global mental health platform and reimagining Heart&Soul as a new Belonging Group: Heart&Soul@. Together, they form a more inclusive, hyper-personalized, and proactive support system that meets bandmates where they are and helps them care for their wellbeing in ways that feel meaningful.

When we meet all bandmates where they are, we build a stronger, more connected Spotify for everyone.

Building on What We’ve Learned: Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing for Every Bandmate

Caring for mental health has always been part of how we support our bandmates – from ambassador-led peer support to resources for substance use, domestic violence, and emotional wellbeing. And with our previous employee resource program, All The Feels, we provided a vital safety net: short-term counseling and 24/7 crisis support that gave bandmates somewhere to turn in moments of need.

Over the years, we’ve learned a lot. We’ve listened to bandmates, seen how needs vary across regions, identities, and experiences, and recognized that wellbeing can’t be one-size-fits-all. As our workplace has grown more global and more complex, so has our understanding of what meaningful support looks like.

Now, we’re building on everything we’ve learned – and evolving our approach to make it more proactive, more personalized, and more holistic than ever before.

That’s why we introduced the new mental health platform from Heart&Soul: a single destination where bandmates can access care that matches their personal needs – whether that’s one-on-one therapy, coaching, group circles on topics like burnout or anxiety, or self-guided digital content in the language and format that works for them.

The mental health platform delivers support in 80+ languages, provides adaptive care plans, and offers resources that span emotional, professional, financial, and physical wellbeing. For the first time, bandmates have the tools to build their own mental health journey – with resources that are culturally relevant, accessible, and always on.

Community Meets Care: Introducing Heart&Soul@

A powerful platform is just one side of the story. We also knew that real change would come through connection – by making mental health a shared conversation, not a private challenge.

That’s where Heart&Soul@ comes in.

What began as a grassroots ambassador network is now a global Belonging Group, open to any bandmate who wants to be part of a more supportive, more inclusive mental health culture at Spotify.

Heart&Soul@ is designed to bring people together across regions, roles, and experiences. The goal is simple: to normalize the conversation around mental health at work and create a safe, inclusive space where bandmates can connect, learn, and support one another.

What’s Next

Looking ahead, we’re continuing to drive the adoption of the Heart&Soul mental health platform while working closely with our Heart&Soul@ community to better understand the unique needs of each region. We’re tracking key metrics like sign-ups, therapy participation, and coaching usage to ensure bandmates are getting meaningful value from our program.

Most importantly, we’re committed to listening to our bandmates and continuously evolving our approach and resources to meet their needs.
